The dimly lit streets, the sound of many different individuals filling the street. Those who were above the rest in their eyes had a wonderful lady around them or a group of their friends laughing and screaming into the streets. Indeed it was full of life, and many festivities would be going on all in one area for it was the weekend and that the hard workers, the drinkers, and the flirts were all out to play tonight. The objective? Oh, the pure enjoyment and amusement of one's self and what they truly desired thus it would only be logical that the party animal and trickster himself would be present and enjoy himself to the fullest. The wind was calm yet would carry and gentle breeze enough to show the elegance and beauty of some of the individuals within the crowd. However, he wouldn't be up to his normal antics and schemes but rather would seek to use one of his long lost passions and art forms that he would have learned from a wretched place to soothe the minds of those not so excited by the festivity transpiring this evening.

Nay, with the cloud, filled the somber sky, and the street lights were flickering from the sheer force of the movement within the town he would have taken place within the air his strings not being able to be seen by anyone. Blocked by the moonlight, it would just give a glow never seen before on this earth as he would have begun plucking at would have been nothing and empty void in his position.  It would have seemed the young man would have ended up drawing a crowd as they would have started surrounding him wonder how in the world anything was coming from the void, his emptiness. It was all an illusion and the more the people gathered and the more they tried to figure it out the louder the sounds coming from his area would be. But they wouldn't be that of the crowd but rather the plucking of strings and the sounds of music filling the air. As he got more confident and relaxed so did his music, becoming more elegant as he would begin to start swaying back and forth because of the breeze only adding to the illusion he would have had a wicked smile on his face.

Indeed it would seem he still had the skills for this art form through making it much easier with the help of his new found abilities; he was after all testing the extent of what he truly could do though he wouldn't even come close to realizing his potential on this beautiful day. No, he would use it for his amusement and the pure joy of seeing the people almost bowing before him as if he was a god among men.

However, he would have felt something that felt familiar. It would have caused a shift in his music and his attitude becoming darker and more emotionless. It seems the "Mad Hatter" would have been coming back; his voice would have carried through the streets reaching the ears of whoever would listen and hear the pain and damage in the man's soul. The plucking of the strings creating an echo effect within the streets as if there were whispers all around them. As his voice carried these words could be heard for at least a two-mile radius as if he was sitting right next to you whispering in your ear.

"When I look, to the skies I think about how we die.
Do we realize that we've already closed our eyes?
So I hold everything, a little bit closer on this roller coaster.
Everything falls apart some times, but everything seems so fine in my mind.
Time and Time again I will find, memories will climb my mind.
Stealing everything that once was mine.
Time and time again I will find.
Standing here under the stars to me they seem so far.

Tell me how they are, tell me why do we go towards.
So I hold everything, a little bit closer on this roller coaster.
Everything Falls apart sometimes, but everything seems so fine in my mind.
Time and time again I will find, memories will climb my spine."

Thus, he would slowly raise himself as people would start looking for themselves still trying to figure out how he would have accomplished this. Though it wouldn't matter he would have risen to the top of the building by the time anyone would have looked back and would have disappeared into the crowd changing from the generic t - shirt and pants that he was in into his usual attire. His mind would have almost blackened, and his attitude would have slowly changed the sinister smile would be the only thing left of the man for he would have moved onward as it was indeed a night for him to have fun. So that is what he planned to do fading into the crowd catching the attention of a few as he passed for his unique attire he wouldn't pay them any mind for they would have bored him simply by their expressions. No, he was on the hunt for something more interesting and much more amusing. Thus he would have stopped at a cafe on the side of the road ordering a simple brewed tea. As he would sit his legs crossed with his left hanging off the knee of the right he would watch as the crowds continued to move looking for his next toy to play with until he truly found what he was here to do...

It was a beautiful evening for the bright blue sky had slowly turned to a soft, dusky silver as the upcoming moon enhanced its unearthly glow against the sky’s contrasting dark, sapphire blue exterior. The soft, cool breeze of the night has done wonders as it provided a soothing tranquility for those that had come to seek it. Furthermore, the songs of the crickets and the baying of the wolves were heard, providing a melody to the listeners. Overall, it was an ideal time and opportunity for those that wished to settle down after a long busy day of work and play. Most, took advantage of the time although, in some occasions, the streets would become as busy as if it were early in the day. It was a beautiful moment just as it was sacred and, for most, it was a truly wondrous experience. Or, it would have been nice if it wasn't for the fact that Valkyrie was completely bored out of her mind. “Morgan,” Valkyrie would say to her assistant and confidant. “I’m growing tired of this place...” Morgan would simply look at the boss and shrug. After all, she had heard this line many times before. “Maybe it’s time I should get going.” Morgan, though, would not reply and simply responded with a simple shrug of her slim shoulders. This, on the other hand, irritated the doctor even more, “Are you even listening?!” Morgan would only sigh, roll her eyes, and look up briefly from her work, “Go where Meghan? Home?” Valkyrie would scowl in retort whilst Morgan smiled in satisfaction.

If there was anything that would shut the doctor up, it would be the mention of her home and past. After all, despite never retelling her story nor ever making a mention of it, it was clear to Morgan that Meghan needed that privacy. There was a section of Meghan’s past that not even she would delve into and she respected it. After all, it was a deep trust that kept their friendship strong and unwavering. Still, Morgan had taking a hang of using that knowledge to her own advantage when she wished for her boss to settle down and talk reality. The conversation dead, Meghan would sigh, leaning back against her reclining office chair, while Morgan would go back to work. It wasn’t a hard job that she had, but it was one that took great delicacy and care. Especially as it involved other work that she had been confided in. On the other had, Meghan would frown as she peered down at her schedule. Unhappy with the layout, Meghan would adjust her glasses and narrow her piercing ice blue eyes at her assistant, “Morgan… The ledger is full?” Morgan would try desperately to pull back a laughter and refusing to look up at her boss, “I think I added a half hour break, though?” Meghan would growl as she would peer back furiously at the book while a chuckle would escape the assistant, “In any case, you should stop being so lazy and take other cases.” With that, Meghan would slam the heavy book shut and glare at Morgan than back at the book.

After a long moment, Meghan would sigh and reopen the ledger once more, “There’s nothing worth taking anymore...” Morgan would sit back against her chair and, after having placed the files neatly on the table, turned to the aspiring doctor. “It’s not about the importance or difficulty of the task, Meghan,” Morgan would say, “It’s about helping people.” Meghan would just scoff in return. “It’s the money and favors I’m after,” she would retort. “Not much of that here, though.” Morgan would shrug, “I stand by what I said.” For, if there was anything different from what they both thought, it would be the ideals that they held. Still, Morgan respected her boss to the fullest and, despite what Meghan believed, Morgan still trusted that Meghan would do the right thing. It would take time, but it would happen. She would make sure of that. In the end, Meghan would reluctantly take in the patients well into the rising night. Without a doubt, there was much work to be done and, for once, Meghan was actually satisfied with how things were working out. It wasn’t as if she had planned to make money, but she had come up with a decent amount. Not compared to the other characters she worked for, but it was worth the work. Even if not by much. What she did enjoy most, though, was that her enterprise was expanding and her knowledge for the medicinal arts was flourishing. Thus, she had become more sought after despite the hefty prices.

Still, life had gone pretty well and, for a while, she had stabilized herself as the miracle worker. If anything, she would be willing to take the less fortunate to pass the time. After all, they had their uses. Even if it were as guinea pigs for her frequent experiments. Glancing up at the clock, Meghan would yawn, her arms stretching upwards towards the heavens. She was exhausted and, quite thankfully, she had no one left to treat. “Go stretch your legs,” Morgan would reply. “I can take care of things here.” Valkyrie would only curl her lips downwards in deep thought as a response. It wasn’t that she didn’t trust her loyal friend, but, the matter of the fact was, could she handle it? As if reading Meghan’s mind, the assistant would only smile encouragingly. “You’re always taking care of others, you should take care of yourself, too.” The young doctor would furrow her brows. If anything, she exploited the people as she saw fit. “Just go, Meghan...” Noticing Morgan’s irritation, Meghan would just sigh in defeat and take her leave. If anything, she would have to thank Morgan later. Stuffing her lab coat into her purse and strapping on some heels, she decided to make her way to town square. The place was busy and, in her opinion, it made the perfect way to pass her times and look for a place to have fun. Her stomach growled and, as her irritation over it passed, she would make her way into a cafe. Making her way towards the counter, her eyes would furrow in deep thought.

The cappuccino… or the mocha… Her thoughts would be consumed by the choices and, after a few mere seconds, her stomach would whine once more. “‘ey, Valkyrie!” The voice would snap the doctor’s train of thought, “Long time no see, girl!” A huge smile would fill her face as she neared the counter. If there was anyone within the entire town that had come to become close to the young scientist, it would be the barista of the cafe. Perhaps not in a way that she showed her true self, but it was enough to set up a network with the local shops. “Been busy?” Meghan would nod enthusiastically as her eyes twinkled. It was a skill she had mastered -the use of a bubbly nature, but it proved useful in her everyday life. So much so that she had become known for it. She didn’t mind, though. It made it easier to live her life and obtain that much more connections within the towns she visited. “Yeah, but it’s been great.” Meghan would look up at the menu and make her decision, “I’d like a cup of coffee, Gabe. That’ll be it.” Gabriel, or Gabriela, as he would like to be called smiled broadly, “Sure thing, luv. Coming right up!” With a sincere smile, Meghan would turn to the farthest corner of the store and settle down. It was times like these that she would feel nostalgic. It was for no reason in particular, but she enjoyed her alone time with a newspaper on hand. It was a way that helped her calm down and provided her the opportunity to think. Something she lacked within her busy schedules.

Not much time would pass until Gabriella would arrive at her table with a coffee on hand along with a small paper bag. Confused, Meghan would place her newspaper down and look up at Gabe blankly as he, or she, would giggle in amusement. “On the house, honey, so don’t worry about it.” Meghan would been gratefully as the items were placed neatly upon the table. “Thanks, Gabe. I appreciate it.” The barista would smile knowingly and make his way outside for new customers had made their appearance. Meghan, though, would turn her attention back to the newspaper. Sipping her coffee slowly and thoughtfully, she would take her time with her reading. She was in no hurry until Gabe came back flustered towards her table. “Gurl, do I have something to tell you!” Meghan would fold her newspaper back in place and raise an eyebrow in curiosity. “A guy outside, cuuuuuute!!" Meghan’s curiosity would peak as true curiosity would ooze. “He into you?” Gabe would just shake her head sadly. “Doubt it… But maybe you’ll have better luck!” She left, leaving Meghan to herself. Not feeling up to toy with anyone, she would stay a few moments more until she deemed it time to make her leave. Rising from her seat, she made her way to the door and, stepping outside, turned her head slightly towards the figure that had made an impact on the barista. This would prove to be a mistake for her worst fears would make their appearance. After all, he was there.

The night would have been dull, the air starting to get stale and the crowd getting boring to watch pass by and the excitement and aura he was once giving off would seem to fade. It was odd, but it would be as if the life would have got sucked from around him as it dragged him down into the depths. However, he would simply let out a sigh and wave over to the waitress he would have been watching for awhile as she would have to be giggly and bubbly creating all the different customers as they would either go inside or begin to sit outside as he was. It would have been amusing for what it was and nothing more she wasn't flirtatious or confident but somewhat just alive... and it would have disgusted him. The sheer fact she could be so bubbly over nothing was more annoying than he would find cute though others would seem to love it.  Thus as she would approach it would look, she had gotten flustered and panicked something she wouldn't have done with her other customers.

"He... hey how can I help you tonight?"

He would have let out a slight laugh under his breath and would have let his hat roll down his arm as he would have pulled it with a string that he attached moments prior and would have lowered his head toward the woman.

"Hello, my lovely lady, would you mind getting me a warm, smooth tea to go with this beautiful evening we are having?"

Though as he would rise he would have had devils smile upon his face meaning none of the compliments that he would have just given her but instead playing cat and mouse game to see how it would eventually play out.  Thus as she would scurry off into the distance, he would have relaxed and thought perhaps this night would end begin to look up for the better.  He would have started humming something under his breath as he would have put the hat back upon his head and tilting it slightly to the side.  His foot that was placed on the ground would have begun to tap along as he would have closed his eyes and started drifting off into his mind the world becoming whitewashed as he found his escape.

Therefore, as he would have heard the placement of the cup in front of him even without thinking or opening his eyes he would have gently ran his hand across that of the waitress and would have slowly unveiled the sharp crimson eyes meeting hers. Letting out a faint thank you escape his lips as he would begin to lift the cup of freshly brewed tea and as it would take reach the back of his lips, and he lowered the cup a smile of satisfaction would have escaped him, though it wouldn't have been for the woman or the tea something more fabulous. Of course, it wouldn't have been anything someone else would have paid much mind to but rather the fantastic image of flattery and the bright red look that would have fallen onto her face.

Thus he would have continued enjoying his tea and would have looked over at her one more time before he would have become quite shocked with the next thing he would have seen it couldn't have been was it indeed her? He thought he would have escaped far enough away from that being. Though he wouldn't have been mistaken once he saw her exit the cafe though much would have changed from the time of their last meeting, thick sensual thighs, the slender waistline, and what seemed to be an ever so lovely addition of a supple bust that would make any man take a double take. However, for this man it made a swore taste remain which once was a powerful array of beautiful flavors.

The past would have seemed to catch up to him, and it wouldn't have been something of a pleasure based on the way they would have parted ways on their last meeting. However, the man would have grown since then, and it was clear that she would have as well. As her auburn brown hair would come to a halt though her curls still waving in the wind he would have risen from his seat and began walking toward her has the moonlight would have fallen upon the two he would have only let a few words escape from his lips before what would possible and just be described as awkward or a chaotic reunion would erupt from the two.

"Hey Meghan, long time no see."

As her hair would have flown to the left covering a part of her face, his would have begun moving to the right in closing the opposite half of his. In a since it could have been seen as picture perfect though if anyone knew of their past, they would know it was indeed a tragic meeting of different brewed storms. His eyes colder, he would have now towered over her were as in the past they stood equally at least regarding height.

As they stood in shock as their eyes would have met a crack of lightning could be heard in the distance, and small drops of rain would begin making their way down to the earth slowly covering the once dry stones and concrete they would have been standing on. He would have had much he wanted to say, however, only those few words would have been able to escape him. The day he would have been looking forward to yet hating had finally come, and again he couldn't unleash all that was in him, was it because he still felt strongly about this woman? Was it his weak will toward this particular individual? Or perhaps he was only truly just past it all and wanted to have the answers that he was denied oh so long ago...
